At home with my sick kid today!

Well, I kept my kid medicated on cold and flu meds all weekend. I am a bit of a germaphobe and when I heard him start coughing on Saturday I started thinking ,Please God, don't let it be swine flu. Well, he sat beside me, watching the show about the world ending, and when he coughed a small spit bubble landed on my lip. I was so grossed out and wanted to dip myself in bleach, but needless to say is could not raise my head off the pillow yesterday. As kids do he WOULD NOT chill out, sit down, or sleep, so I am better today and he is not. He through a fit wanting to go school this morning and even proclaimed to be done being sick. I gave him more medication and he is out, hopefully sleeping his day away. I already know this drill as soon as he gets to school and I get to work, the school nurse calls and says I need to come get my sick kid. My child does not understand the cost of gas so I avoided the who situation altogether :) He's pissed and said I was mean....I wish my mom would have been mean when I was younger and made me stay home from school. I guess I am a little mean, I am the alphafemale in this house. Hey, I don't want to be my children (boyfriend included) and my dogs make this way. They would not be able to tie there shoes without me. I love them all, but if I could avoid a day without a dumbass question or a dumbass joke I.E. (Jay)What is round and blue? (Me)I don't know tell me Jay........................ (Jay) An orange holding its breath. OK the joke dumb but the way my kid laughs at that joke is funny and yet disturbing. my boyfriend, David, thinks he is the alphamale. I love him so we will just let that one go. I have to go clean since I have another day off, but you will hear from me again SOON.
